Sasha

I worried before exchange because it was my first visit to another country, my first flight, but everything was good. In Frankfurt we met our partners. I had been looking forward to our meeting. I was very upset when I found out that Alisa had broken her leg. But I wasn't upset because she came to pick me up. We got to the house, I ate and went to bed. After that we visited a museum "Cadillac". Walked to the center of Hahenburg, ate ice-cream and Alisa told me about herself. We returned home in the evening. It was my first day in Germany. I got many impressions. I liked small streets, comfortable houses and friendly people. The town, where I lived is such a quiet and beautiful place. The next morning I was awaken at 5.45 a.m.. It was so hard for me because in Saint-Petersbur I wake up at 7 o`clock. Alisa's mum took us to school. I met my Russian friends and teachers.

First day in the school was very interesting: we were taken to the tour around school and classrooms. We saw all school and the monastery. Father Jakob carried the excursion. We saw a big library, where there are many old books. It was a very interesting excursion, and I liked it because I learnt many new and interesting things. Now I know that our school and schools in Germany are different. Schools in Germany are more modern than ours. At 16.00 we visited the bowling together.

For two weeks the program was very rich, we visited many interesting places and had many events. In the school our group had sport, we played basketball against the group of German pupils. Also we had some lessons with our partner's class: religion, English language, history and informatics. I was struck by pupils‘ good behavior.

For exchange time we visited Hahenburg, had a tour to this town and Landschaftsmuseum. Motorradmuseum, where we learned about first motors. We descended into the mine. All of this was very cool.

In my family we spent time very actively. I learned many facts about Alisa: what she likes, what is interesting for her and her mum. I visited with Alisa the music school, where she plays the piano. We watched the films together and I enjoyed them.

I have so many impressions, but I want to tell about unforgettable days.

24th September On Wednesday we drove with the bus to Braubach, where we had free time for 45 minutes. After this we walked up the hill to the Marksburg. We made a guided tour there, which lead us through the castle gardens, the bedroom of the knights armoring chamber, the kitchen, the wine cellar, the torture chamber and to the canons station. Afterwards we made a navigation to the 'Deutsche Eck' in Koblenz. Here we drove with a gondola to castle Ehrenbreitstein'. Now we had a bit free time again where we went into the city of Koblenz.

In one of days we went in Koln. At first our group had free time for 3 hours. I with my friends walked to the zoo. It is a very big park, where there are many other animals. Also there is aquarium, where there are many kinds of fish and insects. Our group drove to Cathedral of Koln. It is a very big church. We went up to the observation deck, where could see all city. I was inside the cathedral. After that I with my friends went shopping, walked to the city and visited cafe, where tried German deserts.

After the trip I moved in another family, because Alisa could not to go visiting places with me. At first time, I was a little scared, but everything turned out to be good.

My first weekend in Germany, Saturday, I send with friend: Ellina and Katrin. We visited Koblenz, walked to the city, walked along a river, laughed, took many cool fotos and ate ice-cream. Koblenz is a very beautiful place. Also we went to the shops and I bought many presents for my friends and family. We came back to Katrin’s home at 7 o’clock. And Cedric, my partner, with his family picked me up.

On Sunday I slept so long and I liked it. I spend all day with my new family. We went on a little voyage by the ship. It was a very cool time.

These weeks went by very fast. I had so many impressions. Bought souvenirs, took many cool pictures. And most importantly, I found friends. I love my new family, they are very good people, I'll miss them and don’t want to come back to Saint-Petersburg yet. It was such good time.

Marienstatt bleibt bunt
